How to Play Disc Golf

The Basics

Disc golf shares many similarities with traditional golf. Instead of clubs and balls, players use specialized flying discs to complete a course in as few throws as possible. The objective is to reach the target (usually a metal basket with hanging chains) in the least number of throws. Each course consists of a series of holes, each with a par score.

Scoring

Players keep track of their scores just like in traditional golf. The number of throws it takes to reach the target is your score for that hole. The player with the lowest total score at the end of the course wins.

Throwing Techniques

Disc golf involves a variety of throwing techniques, including the backhand, forehand, and overhand throws. As you progress, you'll develop your own style and finesse.
